Agent receives double national award recognition!

Yes, we have been nominated for two major awards recognising our powerfully good work over the last 12 months.

We are incredibly proud to announce that our It’s Not a Game, Boy campaign, tackling coercive and controlling behaviour in Greater Manchester alongside Mayor Andy Burnham, has been shortlisted for the prestigious Campaign of the Year prize at the Local Government Chronicle (LGC) Awards.

And in further exciting news, we are also up for Communications Agency of the Year at the Green Business Awards, a national honour highlighting our agency as one of the most pioneering companies in the UK, building a more sustainable, healthy and prosperous economy.

What are the LGC Awards?

The LGC Awards is the largest celebration of excellence in local government, dedicated to recognising the best examples of innovation and quality. The nomination of our hard-hitting and creative-led It’s Not a Game, Boy campaign, in partnership with Greater Manchester Combined Authority (GMCA), acknowledges the real-life impact of our work.

Independent Choices, a partner service for the campaign, reported over 3,500 website visits during the campaign period - a 70% traffic increase - while the hero video incepted, written, filmed and produced entirely in our studios is now being used as an educational resource for students at the University of Manchester, where students analyse the real-world behaviours depicted.

Following the launch our campaign, Mayor of Greater Manchester, Andy Burnham, said: “This has been one of the most important and impactful campaigns that we have run in Greater Manchester.”

What are the Business Green Awards?

The Green Business Awards highlight the most inspiring companies and campaigns in the UK, recognising the organisations building an economy that is sustainable, healthy and more prosperous for all.

The Communications Agency of the Year nomination recognises our work successfully raising the profile of organisations playing key roles in the green economy such as Net Zero North West (NZNW)Spirit EnergyStorengyHyNet and DWF, as well as hosting our inaugural Good Growth Summit for over 160 responsible business leaders and politicians.

Our multi-channel campaigns for our green clients engaged audiences with effective messaging, engaging social media content and industry-leading public affairs events, including our successful NZNW Manifesto launch at the House of Lords, featuring prominent stakeholder attendance including Sarah Jones, Minister of State at the Department of Energy Security & Net Zero (DESNZ) and Rachel Armstrong, Director of Industrial Decarbonisation & Emissions Trading at DESNZ.

Paul Corcoran, CEO & Founder of Agent, said:

“It’s brilliant to be recognised nationally for work that combines strategy, creativity with real, considered human impact. The nominations continue our momentum after a momentous year, following our induction into The Sunday Times Best Places to Work and B Corp certification. We are determined to continue delivering purpose-led work that creates lasting value for our clients, communities and of course, the planet. Win or lose – that's the main goal!”

The winners of the Local Government Chronicle Awards will be announced in London on 10 June. The Green Business Awards are also held in London on 24 June.
